According to rumoured reports, Microsoft are planning to turn retail units into dev kits later this year. This would be to help expand the Xbox One app output.
With Xbox One app support currently only available to a limited amount of developers, it’s said that the console may be ready for other developers to start creating their apps from the summer onwards. It’s also rumoured that developers will have the opportunity to beta test apps with the Xbox community.
With the Xbox One being constantly updated by Microsoft, this comes as no surprise. With the most recent update allowed gamers to create Game DVR videos.
Overall it’s a smart idea and will most probably boost console sales once again. Look out Sony!
